We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this privacy policy (“Policy”). This Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide (“Personal Information”) on the knowledgeadvances.org website (“Website”) and the “Advance: Life training” mobile application (“Mobile Application”), along with our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that Personal Information. It also outlines the choices available to you regarding our use of your Personal Information and how you can access and update it.

This Policy is a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you” or “your”) and Knowledge Advances Inc. (“Knowledge Advances Inc.”, “we”, “us” or “our”). If you are entering into this Policy on behalf of a business or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to this Policy, in which case the terms “User”, “you” or “your” shall refer to such entity. If you do not have such authority, or if you do not agree with the terms of this Policy, you must not accept this Policy and may not use the Website or Application. By accessing and using the Website or Mobile Application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy. This Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals that we do not employ or manage.

Collection of information
Our top priority is the security of customer data, and we adhere to a no logs policy. We process only minimal user data, strictly to the extent necessary to maintain the Website and Mobile Application. Information collected automatically is used solely to identify potential cases of abuse and compile statistical information regarding Website and Mobile Application traffic and usage. This statistical information is not aggregated in a manner that would identify any specific user of the system. The Mobile Application does not require the creation of an account for access and, as such, does not collect any personally identifiable information. The Advance app contains no ads, ensuring there is neither tailored advertising nor any advertising of any kind. The Mobile Application retains only the quiz scores and, if provided, the user's self-reported quantitative assessment metrics reflecting their perceived impact and learning from the quiz content. Users have the option to withhold entering self-assessment metrics. All retained data, including quiz and any self-reported metrics, are stored exclusively on the user's device, are not transmitted to us or any third parties, and may be deleted at the user's discretion. If users opt to share their quiz scores from the App on social media or other platforms using the Share button, they assume the risk associated with such sharing. While the App does not allow sharing of self-assessment metrics via the Share button, users who share this information through screen captures also do so at their own risk.

Links to other resources
The Mobile App contains hyperlinks to third-party websites or other resources that are not owned or controlled by us. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other resources or third parties. We encourage you to be aware when you leave the Mobile App and to read the privacy statements of each and every resource that may collect Personal Information.

California privacy rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), California residents are granted specific rights regarding their Personal Information. If you are a California resident, this section is applicable to you. However, since our Mobile App does not collect any Personal Information, there are no personal data to disclose, access, or delete in accordance with the CCPA.

Changes and Amendments
We reserve the right to modify this Policy or its terms relating to the Website and Mobile App at any time, at our discretion. When we do, we will update the 'last modified' date at the bottom of this page and provide a notification within the Mobile App and on the Website. Additionally, should you have provided us with your contact information when emailing us with questions or feedback, we may choose to notify you of any changes through other methods as well.

A revised version of this Policy will become effective immediately upon the posting of the updated Policy, unless otherwise noted. Your continued use of the Website and Mobile App after the effective date of the revised Policy will constitute your acceptance of those changes.

You acknowledge that you have read this Policy and consent to all its terms and conditions. By using the Mobile App, you agree to be bound by this Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Policy, you are not authorized to use the Mobile App.
